Our Hall of Liberty highlights members for outstanding activism. Each year, before the state convention, the Awards Committee reviews nominations and selects recipients for one of several awards.
THE HALL OF LIBERTY – honoring lifetime or significant achievement that has made a lasting impact on the Libertarian Party of Alabama and/or libertarian movement.
LEIGH LACHINE LEADERSHIP AWARD – recognition of outstanding leadership, high character, and dedication to the principles and goals of the Party. This award was created by the LPA’s 2016-17 Executive Committee to honor Mr. LaChine for his work during his four years as Chair of the LPA.
IGNITING THE FLAME AWARD – recognition of a very effective campaign for public office, while communicating Libertarian ideas, principles, and values.
ATTICUS FINCH AWARD – recognition of outstanding communication of Libertarian ideas, principles, and values through written, published, or spoken communication.
ROSA PARKS ACTIVISM AWARD – recognition of effective activism by building Party membership, organizing community outreach, or communicating Libertarian principles.
