During the meeting of the LPA Executive Committee on July 27, 2019 in Huntsville, AL, the following resolution was adopted.
WHEREAS the Libertarian Party of Alabama condemns massive roundups by the federal government of Hispanic-Americans and others in a hunt for immigrants not possessing required government documents, and;
WHEREAS those suspected of being undocumented [immigrants] are denied the fundamental freedom to labor and to move about un-molested, and;
WHEREAS the Libertarian Party opposes welfare payments to undocumented immigrants just as we oppose welfare payments to all other persons;
BE IT RESOLVED the Libertarian Party of Alabama calls for the lifting of all restrictions on immigration and for full amnesty for currently undocumented [immigrants];
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED we support the abolition of the Border Patrol and of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
